Art School Policies

Registration 

1. First choice will be given to returning students who sign up by the end of May, after that, registration is open to all on a first-come, first-served basis. Please give first and second choices in case a class has to be changed if minimum class size (4) not met. 
2. New and returning families will register and pay before classes start on September 1, 2026, in order to enroll in a class. 
3. For those paying monthly, monthly payment will be received before the monthly classes begin.

Attendance

Parents need to phone or text the teacher before class if your child will not be attending.

2. Make-up classes can be taken on the week of absence depending on availability, (or on another day if possible). There will be no refunds for missed classes.

3. If your child has a fever or stomach flu, please keep your child home. 

Behavior

Very rarely do we have to ask a student to leave class because of behavior problems. It’s only happened to Wendy and Mark twice each in 8 years. Our policy is that if there’s a behavior problem after learning the Good Rules for Art Class, we first talk to the student privately, then if there’s no change, we talk to the parent and student privately, and finally, if still no change, we ask the student to skip a week or two of class, or be dismissed from the class permanently, with no refund given. 

Please be aware that art class works best if the student is interested and passionate about art, and in our experience, it does not work if parents force a child to attend if they are not interested themselves.
